Hyperion Fine Tuning Ring 14mm

Using one (or two) Fine Tuning Rings with one Hyperion eyepiece and you get the function of two/four eyepieces.

The finetuning rings are 2" OD and threaded M48 (filter thread) on each end, so they can be installed in-between the Hyperion's removable front negative element and main body, simply install it between the front element and the main body of the eyepiece, this additional spacing increases the focal length thereby increasing magnification.

  • The Baader 28mm Hyperion Fine Tuning Ring is made to match the Hyperion finish, and are fully internally sharp v-threaded and blackened to eliminate stray light reflections from the internal surfaces.
  • The Baader 14mm Hyperion Fine Tuning Ring (#2958214) is also made using the same quality as above and can add another dimension to your eyepieces.
  • Now use 2" filters with your 1.25" eyepieces, and note that adding any 2" Baader filter will also add appx 8.5mm to the focal length thereby adding another small amount of magnification

Please note that Baader 24mm Hyperion Eyepiece will not accept the Fine Tuning Rings due to a difference in optical design.
