This eyepiece is part of a parfocal series of classic orthoscopic eyepieces that offer distortion-free, extremely clear, high contrast image with very high transmission value.
Lens edges are blackened to eliminate internal reflections and glare. All internal surfaces are also blackened that effectively reduces scattered light. The hard anodised nosepiece can accept standard 1.25" filters as it comes with an internal filter thread. Baader claims that when they tested these on their optical bench they were not able to detect any difference in compare to 5-times more expensive dedicated Planetary eyepieces...
