How to align a Celestron Astro-fi Telescope - One to One Lesson

One to one telescope lessons are held at our showroom in Tring, Hertfordshire, and are designed for beginners looking for some friendly expert help.  (Online lessons Via Zoom are also available.)

We have a number of telescope set up sessions available, covering a variety of topics and product types, from telescope assembly, telescope collimation, attaching cameras to telescopes, aligning computerised telescopes and other typical telescope problems.

This particular one to one lesson is focused on how to align a Celestron Astro Fi Telescope.

We cover the assembly of the telescope, checking that all the necessary items are present and fitted correctly.

We talk about and make sure the finderscope is correctly adjusted, and how to use it.

We discuss eyepieces, which ones to chose and when and how to focus the telescope.

We walk through the download / connection and use of the Skyportal App.

This session is typically around 35 - Minutes 

There is an extended version of this lesson available too. This extends the time to typically around 1 hour and is perfect if you want to take things a little more slowly, or want to add additional items for example, photography, collimation or have a dew heater fitted.
