For use with 40935/36 SDL zoom eyepieces
This device is used to attach a DSLR Camera body to a 40935/36 SDL zoom eyepiece. In addition to this part you will also need a T-Mount (T-Ring) specific to the camera you are trying to use.Your camera may need to be operated in manual mode with shutter locks disengaged where necessary, and focusing will need to be done using the telescope's focuser. The high magnification to aperture ratios of this method result in slower shutter speeds compared with conventional telephoto lenses, so choose an ISO setting of 400 or higher. If possible also use a cable release or remote control to reduce camera shake when operating the shutter.
Equivalent focal lengths with HR, ES, GS & MM3 scopes fitted with either the 40935 SDL or 40936 SDLv2 zoom eyepiece at its lowest magnification setting coupled to a 35mm SLR camera (1). Magnification factor 1.37x.
