New Large Format HD Sensor

Introducing the Merger LRF XT50, the first pair of thermal imaging binoculars from Pulsar to feature a 1280×1024, 12µm, <40mK NETD HD thermal sensor. This sensor, combined with a powerful 50mm f1.0 objective lens and lossless pixel transfer, will achieve levels of image clarity that need to be seen to be believed and long-range detection capabilities that can reveal even the smallest heat source at distances reaching up to 2300m!

Such exceptional levels of image clarity are achieved, in part, thanks to the Merger LRF XT50’s minimal image compression — transmitting a thermal image to the bino’s display with almost no loss of detail and resulting in superb image quality with minimal noise.

And, with such an exceptional large-format sensor as this, the Merger LRF XT50 will even retain excellent image detail all the way through its 2.0-16.0 x magnification range, so you can closely inspect an object of interest with minimal loss of detail.

Comfortably Wide FOV

The Merger LRF XT50 offers a 17.5° field of view that is unmatched by any other thermal imaging binoculars, significantly expanding the observation area and reducing the need to search and scan whilst in the field. This incredibly wide FOV is achieved thanks to the unrivalled combination of HD sensor and powerful objective lens — effortlessly proving that you just can’t beat European engineering.

Built-in Image Stabilisation

For the first time in any Pulsar device, the Merger LRF XT50 introduces image stabilisation to the product range. A crucial feature when tracking fast-moving subjects in the field, image stabilisation eliminates camera shake and motion blur, allowing you to focus on the task at hand without worrying about distractions.

Extended Distance Measurements

With a built-in precision laser rangefinder, you can gauge accurate distance measurements between you and your observed object, allowing you to keep a safe distance and plot your movements without any unnecessary disturbances. The Merger LRF XT50 is the first device from Pulsar to feature an extended 1500m distance measurement range, with an accuracy of ±1m. These measurements can be taken in single steps or in continuous scanning mode.

Comfortable Observation

When it comes to comfortable viewing, two eyes are always better than one, which is why these thermal binoculars feature stunning 1280×960 twin HD AMOLED displays, designed to reveal every detail whilst reducing eye fatigue.

Classic Design, Modern Capabilities

And it isn’t just comfortable on the eyes. The Merger LRF XT50 features an ergonomically designed bodyshell that retains the classic aesthetics of a pair of traditional binoculars. This lends a sense of familiarity in the hand and ensures you remain just as comfortable by the end of your observation as you were at the start.

The bodyshell has been constructed using durable magnesium alloy designed to withstand all the knocks, bumps, scrapes, and tumbles one would expect during strenuous observations in the field.

Further protection is provided through the IPX7 rating, which protects against dust- and moisture ingress — meaning they will remain unimpeded by adverse weather conditions and even survive a drop into water. Plus, for those who need to venture into unforgiving climates, the Merger LRF XT50 remains guarded against extreme temperatures ranging from -25 to +50°C.

Hours & Hours of Observation

An advanced dual battery system features a built in, rechargeable Li-Ion battery and a replaceable, rechargeable APS3 battery providing up to 8 hours of battery life, allowing you to continue your observations through the day and into the night.

8 Colour Palettes

Eight colour palettes enable effective observation of the field of view, each of which allow the user to optimise the device for specific scenarios and adapt to changing conditions.

White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are perfect for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine will increase recognition and identification capabilities; and Sepia, Red Monochrome, and Violet are best for long, night-time observation.

Integrated Video Recording

Built-in video recording (with audio) and still image capture capabilities, the Merger LRF XT50 ensures you never miss a memorable moment during your observations. Plus, with new image stabilisation technology built-in, your videos will be free from camera shake and motion blur, meaning you trust that, when you closely inspect any videos captured at a later date, they’ll be clear as day.

Designed to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a modern user, the Telos LRF XP50 thermal imaging monocular introduces the first in a line of fully-upgradeable devices from Pulsar, offering the user the ability to upgrade technical components (whether that’s a more sensitive thermal sensor, a more powerful objective lens, more efficient and functional electronic parts, or even the ability to add a precision laser rangefinder on certain models) in order to ensure a more cost effective way in which to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technological advancements.

Extreme Thermal Sensitivity

Equipped with a highly sensitive 640×480, 17 µm European-made Lynred thermal sensor with an astonishing <18 mK NETD for incredible levels of thermal sensitivity. This, combined with the powerful 50mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens enables the Telos LRF XP50 to achieve stunning thermal imaging capabilities, with a detection range that will easily spot an animal’s heat signature at distances reaching up to 1800m in almost any weather condition — including heavy rain, dense fog, snow, and high levels of humidity.

Advanced Image Boost Technology

Pulsar’s Image Boost technology ensures this device will provide the highest possible level of detail, clarity, and contrast through a set of proprietary image processing algorithms which work to render complex scenes in a wide range of halftones with evenly-emitting low-contrast objects (such as the sky, grass, and the surface of a body of water). These algorithms will ensure incredible levels of thermal informativity through the enhancement of detail and the sharpening of objects at varying distances.

Manually increasing the Telos LRF XP50’s thermal sensor sensitivity will improve the quality of animal detection in worsening observation conditions, and a smoothing filter with a wide range of brightness and contrast settings will ensure long periods of observation are possible without the user experiencing any fatigue.

Fast & Error-Free Assessments

The Telos LRF XP50’s built-in precision laser rangefinder will allow users to quickly and accurately gauge error-free assessments within the observation area, enabling the user to ascertain the distance between themself and an observed object or animal at a range of up to 1000m with an accuracy of ±1m. These distance measurements can be achieved in both single step and continuous scanning modes.

Designed for User Needs

Ergonomics is at the forefront of the Telos LRF XP50’s design, offering the user an observation experience that always remains comfortable thanks to a convenient, easy reach button layout along the top panel; an attachable hand strap that can be easily rotate from one side to the other without being removed in order to better cater to left- and right-handed users; and the addition of classically considered focusing and magnification rings located on the objective lens (one by one, as found on traditional camera objective lenses), allowing for smooth image magnification and quick focusing with minimal effort.
