Product Availability
We keep our website regularly updated, however we cannot guarantee availability as we also operate a retail shop. If this affects your order we will contact you as soon as possible. In the case of an especially high-value order, we also reserve the right to contact you for further confirmation of your order details, prior to completion of the order.
Payment
Prices include VAT but exclude delivery costs. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including:

- Maestro
- Delta
Credit and debit card transactions on this website are processed using secure online payment systems provided by one of the following Third Party Payment Processors for your peace of mind - ClearAccept, PayPal and ApplePay All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
You will be able to choose your prefered method at the checkout stage.
Delivery
We Offer Free UK Standard Delivery for all orders with an option to upgrade to UK Express Delivery at a cost of £7.95 per Order. Orders placed by Noon Monday to Friday will usually be dispatched the same working day (Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays). Orders placed after this time will usually be dispatched the next working day*.
UK Standard Delivery: Most Orders will arrive within 3-5 working days. Small items are usually dispatched via Royal Mail 1st Class and larger items via a 48 hour Courier Service.
UK Express Delivery: Most Orders will arrive within 1-2 working days. Small items are usually dispatched via Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day, and larger items via DPD, DX, APC, DHL or UPS 24 hour Courier Service.
If ordering from Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands or from outside of the UK there may be an additional charge for delivery, please contact us prior to placing an order for a quote.
If your order is sent by Courier they will attempt delivery twice. If after five days you have not contacted them to arrange delivery after the first two attempts the goods will be returned to us.
At busy times please allow up to and additional 7 working days to receive your order. Please note that the above delivery guidelines are estimates only and can be affected by factors out of our control such as adverse weather conditions. If you have any queries or questions please do not hesitate contact us and we will do our utmost to help.
We do not add any extra charges for 'handling' or packaging, but hope you will support us in our use of recycled packaging where possible.
Damages
The packages and their contents should be inspected as soon as possible after delivery. If an item arrives damaged please report it immediately to the courier and to Tring Astronomy Centre. All damages should aim to be notified within 48 hours of receipt. If reported in reasonable time we will endeavour to replace damaged goods as soon as possible.
Returns and Cancellation
Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us Tring Astronomy Centre, Unit 7 The Old Silk Mill, Brook Street, Tring, HP23 5EF. Telephone 01442 822997, email enquiries@tringastro.co.uk of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least ex-pensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than –
(a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or
(b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
(c) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

In addition to your legal right to cancel we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases so if for any reason you are not happy please return it within 28 days and we will exchange, replace or refund at your request subject to the following conditions (applicable only after the statutory 14 day period has expired):
- You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
- Goods must be returned with all accessories, instructions, original packaging etc and must be suitably packed for transit and returned in as new condition.
- Software can only be accepted if the packaging is still sealed.
- A proof of purchase must be supplied.
- You must return any free gifts that came with the product.
- We will not refund any items that have been specially made to your individual specification, personalised or been subject to a special order process.
Please do not return goods without first contacting us. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances. If a fault occurs after 28 days but within the manufacturer's warranty period we will normally offer you a prompt repair, exchange or refund.
